David James Meredith LL.B.

Principal

David Meredith is the Managing Partner of Meredith Lawyers and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2002. For more than 20 years, he has worked almost exclusively in Family Law, and he has appeared in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Dandenong, and the Family Court of Western Australia in Perth. David is a personable, determined and tenacious lawyer who has represented clients from all walks of life and is passionate about working closely with each of his clients to guide them through what is often one of the most challenging experiences of their lives.

Whilst David routinely instructs counsel, he also has extensive advocacy experience and can appear at procedural, interim and final hearings, where his team can ensure your matter is thoroughly prepared. Alternatively, he can engage preferred barristers if you wish to be represented at an interim or final hearing by counsel. David has achieved excellent outcomes over his years of practice and has a wealth of experience and knowledge he can draw upon to help deliver the advice you need. David is also a member of the Law Society of NSW.

Mairna Hermiz

Senior Associate

Mairna Hermiz is the Senior Associate at Meredith Lawyers, admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2017, with a diverse practice spanning Family Law, Criminal Law, Wills and Probate, and Civil Litigation. She brings a measured, strategic approach to each matter and is known for her ability to confidently navigate complex disputes.

Mairna has extensive court experience and regularly appears in procedural, interim and contested hearings. She is a confident and effective litigator who has worked closely with a range of Barrister’s to achieve successful outcomes for her clients, while also independently running matters through all stages of litigation. Her experience extends to interstate Family Law matters, giving her a nuanced understanding of jurisdictional and procedural complexities.

Passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes, Mairna is equally committed to understanding her client’s individual needs and circumstances. She takes a practical, client-focused approach, guiding clients through complex and often stressful legal proceedings with clarity, diligence and care.

Lucienne Curchod

Solicitor

Lucienne Curchod is a Solicitor at Meredith Lawyers. Lucienne was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2017 and is currently completing her Masters in Family Law. Prior to Lucienne’s legal studies, she completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Santa Clara California in Art and English.

Lucienne’s legal background encompasses not only family law but also property law/conveyancing, wills and estates law, giving a broad knowledge base to some of the issues that can accompany family law proceedings.

Lucienne has an interest in Collaborative Law practices and dispute resolution in order to achieve a non-litigated outcome wherever possible, in a timely, sensitive manner.

Dalia Nasreddine

Solicitor

Dalia Nasreddine is a Solicitor at Meredith Lawyers and was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2020. Since this time, she has dedicated herself to becoming a worthy and valued Family Lawyer. Understanding that each case is unique, Dalia offers a compassionate and supportive approach in these sensitive and challenging times. She prioritises clear communication and is committed to achieving favourable results while minimising stress and costs for clients.

Dalia has successfully represented clients in various cases involving divorce, child custody and property matters, with a unique focus on navigating cases in high-conflict environments, ensuring that her clients receive the best possible outcomes while minimising stress throughout the legal process.

Dalia always strives to settle matters amicably and without commencing court proceedings where possible. However, where a matter is in Court, Dalia is known for her meticulous preparation, strategic thinking, and persuasive advocacy skills.

As a stepparent of two young children, Dalia understands how difficult it can be for children impacted by separation and how important it is to consider their needs and best interests.

In her spare time outside of work, Dalia enjoys being a home body, watching Netflix and spending quality time with her family.

Judi Dilchert

Solicitor

Judi is a dedicated solicitor, qualified in South Africa and admitted to practice in Australia. She brings an international perspective and strong legal foundations, combining technical expertise with genuine care for clients navigating some of life’s most challenging circumstances.

Recognised for her professionalism, empathy, and solution-focused approach, Judi works closely with clients to understand their individual needs and deliver clear, practical advice. She assists in all areas of family law, including parenting arrangements, property settlements, and binding financial agreements, with a commitment to achieving fair and sustainable outcomes.

With an approachable manner and strong advocacy skills, Judi provides reassurance and confidence to clients, ensuring their interests are safeguarded with both sensitivity and determination.

Maxine Bartu

Law Clerk

Maxine is a law clerk and administrator at Meredith Lawyers. Originally from Sydney, she spent much of her upbringing in Berkeley, California, before returning to Australia to pursue her legal studies. She is currently undertaking a Juris Doctor at the University of New South Wales.

Before joining Meredith Lawyers, Maxine gained experience across a range of community legal centres and criminal justice organisations in both Australia and California. Her diverse background reflects a strong and ongoing commitment to social justice.

Maxine has lived in six countries and speaks both French and English, giving her a well-rounded perspective shaped by international experience. Her time abroad has fostered a strong sense of cultural awareness and adaptability, which she brings to her work every day.

Outside the office, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, travelling, staying active, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Sam Whatley

Practice Manager

Sam is the Practice Manager at Meredith Lawyers. Originally from New Zealand, she holds a Masters degree and spent four years working as a primary school teacher before transitioning into the legal sector in 2023.

Sam brings a unique skill set to her role, drawing on her experience in education to manage busy professionals, juggle competing priorities, and keep things running smoothly — skills she jokes are surprisingly transferable from the classroom to managing lawyers. She enjoys working closely with the team to support them in doing their best work and is passionate about continuously improving systems and processes to enhance the client experience.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time in the sun at the beach with friends, cooking tasty meals, visiting family, running, reading, and swimming.
